Beside the obvious of being pregnant, what other reasons could your period be late?

Missed or late period happen for many reasons. Common causes can range from serious hormonal imbalances and disease to as little as having a stressful season at work

Remember that your period is essentially your monthly health report card, ladies. So if it’s missing, painful, or irregular, we should legitimately be concerned

Also keep in mind that you’re generally going to be ‘irregular’ during your pubescent years as well as peri-menopause, so aside from those two phases in your life, you should be getting a period regularly.

A regular menstrual cycle is considered to be 21-35 days long. If your period doesn’t fall within this range, it could be because of one of the following reasons:

STRESS
ILLNESS
LOW BODY FAT %
HIGH BODY FAT %
PCOS
RECENT BIRTH / BREASTFEEDING
RECENT MISCARRIAGE
BIRTH CONTROL
LOW PROGESTERONE
CHRONIC DISEASE / AUTOIMMUNITY
THYROID DISEASE
PREMATURE OVARIAN FAILURE
