At what point do we stop doing what we love?
#
Do we get too tired? Too old? Too ‘mature’? Too busy? Or do we take ourselves too serious?
#
I was on a walk yesterday, stopped dead in my tracks and remembered that I used to play the piano – and I loved it.
#
You guys, I had forgotten I knew how to play the piano!!

#
And another thing – I played for a AA high school volleyball team back in the day. Why don’t I play anymore?!
#
I’ve been so f**king BUSY chasing success, financial stability, and achievements that I haven’t taken moments to do the things I love. Can anyone else relate?
#
Don’t get me wrong, coaching, researching, and building a business are super fun and fulfilling things for me. But what about all that creative juju I left behind? Why don’t I have I space for that in my life anymore?
#
I’ll tell you why – there seems to be a trend we all go through in life – a period of time of trying to prove ourselves, burning out, and then trying to find the middle ground after we’ve lost everything we thought was important.
#
Maybe you’ve spent the last 20 years working up the corporate ladder, or raising your 3 kids, or finishing up meds school and residency…
#
Whatever it is, you’ve worked your ass off relentlessly to get ‘there’ – this magical place that exists where we get to have everything we worked for and life is finally good and we get to be happy.
#
Just a lil’ spoil alert. That place doesn’t exist. And you’ll never get ‘there’ until you realize that the ‘there’ is actually in the here and now.
#
What I’m trying to say is, don’t wait until you’ve ‘made it’ to start living your life. If you want to learn the guitar, or take a hike, or train your dog, or color in a f**king adult coloring book then schedule in the time to DO IT!
#
Because I promise you won’t be on your death bed wishing you would have replied to more emails on Sunday evenings…
#
So if you’re craving your creative juju back in your life, here is your permission to do the thing 🤗 Happy Sunday loves ✌🏼
